Here's a quick and easy technique to make a faux silk panel for a card.

Requirements:

Tissue paper, Card, Stamp, Inks, Xyron double sided tape (I used a 5" Creative Station).Embellishments.

Method:

1.  Stamp your chosen image to tissue paper. Keep in mind that you will be backing the image to card so it's a good idea to match the colours.  My card background is a pre-folded linen look card from ABS in white so I used white tissue and ABS smooth white card. I also chose a solid stamp but you can use your Copic markers to colour an image just remember the ink will run so be careful.

2. Once the ink is  dry scrunch up the tissue, then smooth it out slightly.

3. Run the smooth white card through the Xyron machine to apply the tape. Then peel off the backing.

4. Smooth your stamped tissue paper over the sticky side of your white card slightly.

5. Trim this section to size.

6. Now you're ready to add this to your card base.

I've kept my card simple just wrapping some ABS hot pink satin ribbon around the faux silk panel, threading it through a ribbon slider.

I stamped the Birthday sentiment in Memento rose bud ink in the bottom left corner, adding 4 metallic Sprinkles.  Then popped up the faux silk panel on foam dots.

I hope you'll try this technique for yourselves and add your card to our gallery.  Use the tag tt002 so I can search for your cards.      Have fun.......
